After-Builders
Getting the building site out of your home
Fine dust travels. It's in the light fittings, the radiator fins, and the top of every door frame.
Construction dust is the finest dust there is, and it does not stay where the work happened. Weeks after the builders leave, it's still settling out of the air onto the surfaces you just wiped.
An after-builders clean is done in passes, not in one sweep — high level first, then surfaces, then floors, then again once everything has settled. It takes longer than a deep clean and it needs different kit. Waste and debris clearance can be added if the builders left it behind.
What's included
Every visit covers the following as standard. Anything extra, just add it to your quote.
- Fine dust removed from every surface, high level down
- Paint, plaster, adhesive and silicone removed from glass and tiles
- Light fittings, sockets, switches, radiators and vents
- Window frames, sills, tracks and interior glass
- Inside all new units, cupboards and wardrobes
- Floors vacuumed with HEPA filtration, then washed
Common questions
After every tool has left, but before the furniture arrives. Cleaning around a half-finished job means doing it twice — and we'd rather tell you that than take the booking.
Usually, but be realistic: fine dust can keep settling for a couple of weeks on a big job. A follow-up light clean two weeks later is common, and we discount it.
Yes — add waste clearance in the quote builder. We're licensed waste carriers, so it's disposed of properly and you get the transfer note.
